What comes on your mind when you heard word "transportation" ? Car, motorcycle, plane, busway, kopaja, bicycle and etc. Yes, those are some kinds of transportation. Do you need that? Why do you need that? Yes! We need transportation. So, that's why transportation is so important.
Well, now I'm asking you why transportation is so important ? You go to school or office by using transportation. Transportation makes the world flat. You know, today morning you are in Jakarta. Then, afternoon you are in Surabaya and in the midnight you are in Singapore. Finally, in the next morning you are working in your office in Jakarta. See! How flat the world now! The mobility level is getting higher. The population also is getting higher. People tend to go around with their own vehicles like car or motorcycle. Imagine this! With the high mobility level, with so many people, with so many vehicles ( public and private vehicles ), this world becomes crowded. Traffic jam is a common problem nowadays. Because of what? Because the world is crowded. See?
The world also becomes very hot nowadays. Air pollution is caused by transportation. This is not environmental friendly.
So, after knowing this condition, will we stay cool and do nothing?

I don't think that we have to stay cool facing this situation, dev.. So, what are your suggestions to solve the problem about transportation like you mention above? :)
ReplyDeleteI think because of the advancement of transportation, the number of "nomaden" people is getting higher. People move from one place to another place instantly and easily. Are we also doing so? Yeah...
ReplyDeletePrivate transportation creates new problem, that is traffic jam. One of solution that is more environmentally friendly especially for Jakartans, is BUSWAY... hehehe
the first think that comes to my mind is TRAIN :D

actually my conscience really want to be more environmental with use bicycle or just walk to go to the campus but I can't because of the distance ..
and I use train because I think it will be more environmental than use car or bus , bacause car or bus just pick several people and train can pick up a lot of people :)
